WORKSHOPS

A day on the water with one of the guides from Fishing Guides Holland is not only a very pleasant experience, it can be very educational as well. The guides will always try to give you tips and tricks which help make your own fishing more successful. Building on the educational part of the guiding experience, Fishing Guides Holland also organises workshops where theory and practice come together. During the mornings specialists give an interactive presentation, after which the participants form groups of two to put the theory to the test during a guided afternoon session on the water.

WORKSHOP 1: INDICATORS FOR PIKE

Especially on larger bodies of water, finding pike is often a very difficult task. Even on seemingly vast and uninteresting looking locations, there are visible and invisible signals that indicate the presence of pike. Which indicators to look for en how, partly by the right interpretation of onboard electronics, to profit from them, will be taught in this workshop.

WORKSHOP 2: ZANDER TECHNIQUES

Vertical jigging, dropshotting, diagonal jigging, all of them are successful techniques for catching zander. During this workshop all these techniques will be discussed and shown, along and on the river. There will be ample opportunity to pick the brains of zander specialists who will explain every aspect of these types of fishing in practice.

WORKSHOP 3: HOW TO TACKLE ASP?

The asp is a fickle fish, that has won the hearts of a growing league of specialists. In this workshop asp specialists will explain how to anticipate on the asp’s behavior and how to seduce them with artificial lures. The theory will be put to the test on the river, the natural habitat of the Dutch asp.

WORKSHOP 4: TARGETTING SPECIMEN PERCH

The Netherlands are well known for their large perch that are caught on several venues. The perch specialists of Fishing Guides Holland preferably choose to cast with lures for perch. But other techniques can also be successful. This workshop covers all aspects of targeting specimen perch.
